Let NAWGJ assign your judges!
Letting us assign your meet is the quickest and easiest way to find quality judges.
We want to remind you that requests for assigning are due by October 1. This means you must have entered your meet in GYMJAS and paid by that date, if you want MO NAWGJ to assign your meet. We were very lenient with this last year because of COVID, but it really does help our assigners to stick to this deadline, so we plan to enforce it more strictly this year.
Step 2: Send Payment
You must pay $3 per judge for your meet to be assigned. We’d like you to pay via Zelle this year. Most banks have a place to “pay with Zelle” on their website or app. Click that, then enter the following information to send money directly to the MO NAWGJ bank account.
Name: MO NAWGJ
We’d prefer you use Zelle if possible, but if you have trouble or need to mail a check, email Brea Dumbacher for help.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Brea’s address is about to change, so please don’t mail a check to her old address you have on file. Contact her for a new address.
Working with Assigners
If MO NAWGJ assigns your meet, it will be given to one of our assigners. This is a volunteer position taken on by some of our judges. Here are a few key things to know about the process.
- Request the right number: When you request judges, you’ll tell us how many you need. If this number changes for any of the sessions (ex: you decide to use single panels) please tell your assigner right away. It puts the assigner in a difficult place to send someone a contract, then tell them they aren’t needed. The sooner we know, the better.
- Budget for travel: Assigners do their best to keep costs down by assigning local judges when possible. We often don’t have enough judges to cover all of our meets, so you should expect to pay some non-local judges to travel in.
